Hi Pholks

Thanks again for all the hard work for the Scott Kirby party on July 14th. We have received nothing but positive reviews.

I need to float a couple of ideas for the club . The Julien family had kindly offered their house to hold an end of summer gathering. A date needs to be firmed up so that the majority of us can attend.

The month is September the dates so far seem to be on the 13th or 20th or 27th weekend . Please let Steve know a date or dates that work for you at  steve.julian@rogers.com . We can use this as our Cub Meeting for September.

The second item for input was the idea of going to Wild Wing near the Rona off of Highbury for our Club Meeting in October. Let me know what you think.

   Cheers

  Hi Pholks

It's that time of year again already . The annual decorating of the London Foodbanks Christmas float. The parade has moved up 1 week this year so our float decoartion Saturday is on November 10th. I know, I had the 17th written down also,  I'll take any blame for problems. Hopefully Frakenstorm will be done by then and London will still be standing :). We also have a regular Foodbank volunteer day on Saturday December 15 .

Thanks to the Folks who braved the chill weather to do our highway cleanup. We did a great job getting a dozen or so bags of trash off of our section of Highway .

Our meeting this month will be in London , Gregg has offered to arrange our dinner at Smoke and Bones on Wellington . Should be good food and a fun atmosphere. The meeting will happen on Thursday November 8th at 7pm. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

                               Cheers

Hi Pholks

After a great summer we capped it off with a fantastic house party at Gary & lori's. Fine food and great prizes with a few well mixed drinks set the tone for us to raise $ 500 to help support Animal aide and other local people who care for strays and unwanted pets. Cudos to all of you .

Our next meeting is at Braxtons in St Thomas located at 1093 Talbot . We'll be discussing Fall events including our last highway cleanup on October 13th. We'll meet for the cleanup at the Denny's parking lot at the Highbury & 401 overpass at 9:45am , weather permitting. We 'll be cleaning the south east side from 10am to around 12pm. A trip to Majors for a cold Corona may be in order after our hard work.

Looking forward to seeing a good turnout , see you there.

February Fun

Hi Pholks

Well we have had a busy month. Last meeting at the Alibi was great ! It was fantastic to see lots of members and some old friends . I'm just sorry that coaching took me away from the meeting , I drive the athletes up to Western to train during the Wrestling Finals, cause I would have like to stay. Some good news attached to the meeting first of all we are a go at McDonald House on July 7 as confirmed by the community liaison, second as of today we can Volunteer at the Foodbank in London on March 12 , during March Break. Some of you said you may be able to join me so I'll send more info out as I get it. Canusa turned out to be a pretty good event , although the band was not really a Parrothead band they definitely pleased the crowd. I'd would encourage people to go next year . At this time I'd also like to send out healthy thoughts to those Members who are recovering from various ailments better now than in the summer.
Our next meeting is on Thursday March 8 at 7pm , from the feedback I got I think it will be ok if we have the meeting at the Alibi again. Topics of interest include details of working at the foodbank , arranging a tour of the kitchen at McDonald House and the Alzheimer Walk in May . Looking forward to seeing another great crowd .

Cheers,

Cap'n Gord
